About STEAM Camp

Exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Humanities, and Mathematics (STEAM) is critical for middle school students so they can begin thinking about career paths they might want to pursue from an early age. STEAM also helps students develop important skills for any career path, including critical thinking, problem solving, and working/building creatively.

As STEAM teaching becomes more widespread, some students may feel they haven’t had enough learning time devoted to these important subjects so far, and they may be looking for opportunities outside their usual school environment to explore them.

Pacific Crest Innovation Academy’s Summer STEAM Camp provides current and rising (for the 2021-22 school year) 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students from Klickitat and Skamania Counties with an opportunity to learn about a variety of STEAM subjects. During this fun and engaging three-day camp, campers will learn, experiment, and play under the guidance of current PCIA teachers and students; meet new friends from other nearby schools; and get a glimpse of what it’s like to be a student at PCIA.

All STEAM Camp activities will take place on-campus at PCIA, just 15 minutes west of the Columbia River Gorge’s Hood River Bridge. Transportation to and from camp will be provided from predetermined locations in Klickitat and Skamania Counties. Lunch and snacks will be provided for all students.

Register by June 1st to ensure your spot! Complete the form below.
